Senior Project Manager - Farmer Enterprise Program

Do you want to play a strategic role in the livelihoods of marginalised communities? We have a challenging opportunity for you at Naganpalle (Near Ramoji Film City) Ranga Reddy District, Telangana.

1. To develop Naganpalle village as a model village in India by enhancing the income of Households through the development of existing livelihoods and creating additional opportunities in a sustainable manner.
2. Develop a self-sustaining producer company (PC) comprising women members from 400 households
3. Promote dairy and infuse cattle to enhance the capacity of milk production
4. Promote climate-resilient agricultural practices and alternate crops to conserve and sustainably put to use the resources like soil and water for agriculture purposes providing assured income to the farmers
5. Promote technical and non-technical micro-enterprises through capacity building of the members and create financial and market linkages for them
6. Enhance skills of youth to promote enterprises or/and obtain employment
7. Raise finances from formal financial institutions to meet the business fund requirements of the producer company
8. Establish market linkages through appropriate channels, including retail stores and mobile app-based customer subscriptions
9. Train and improve skills and vision of member farmers, board and staff of the producer company to build and manage viable enterprises
10. Facilitate the establishment of value addition units like food and dairy processing units, godowns, hatchery, retail units and any other such units as per requirement benefiting the community
11. Link producer company to academic institutions, market institutions, government institutions for access to information, resources and technologies
12. Establish systems to ensure transparency and accountability, including financial, MIS, legal, marketing and cutting-edge technological solutions

Must have excellent numbers skills, must be comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

QUALIFICATION: Masters in Agri-Business/Rural Management/MBA/Livelihoods from a reputed institute

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5 years of experience in working on livelihoods

LANGUAGE: Knowledge of local language mandatory (Telugu)

PERSONAL QUALITIES& BEHAVIOURAL TRAITS:

1. Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with various stakeholders of the project.
2. Excellent coordination, communication and negotiation skills
3. Ability to adapt to local culture and tolerance to the physical hardship of rural India.
4. Ability to relate and empathise with the marginalised community.
5. Time management skills
6. Enjoy working under pressure, deadline-driven and ability to adapt to a changing environment
7. High in cause orientation and resource consciousness
8. Good documentation and presentation skills
