Project Brief
The purpose of the assignment was to identify program options, priorities and strategic directions by identifying, prioritizing and analysing impact population, their locations as well as the cross-cutting and sector-specific strategic needs, gaps and issues, in the context of CARE’s programs, principles and approaches.
Project Description
The project aimed at identification of:
The most poor and marginalized populations, based on their conditions and capabilities.
Issues of the identified populations.
Districts and urban slums in the state with significant presence of identified populations.
Best practices and successful models that can be replicated in priority states.
The national program analysis of CARE identified education, health and livelihoods as key sector interventions and risks and disaster reduction as cross-cutting priority for program strategy. The program options were examined considering the principles of human capability enhancement, fostering & promoting inclusion, ensuring gender equity, promoting & strengthening inclusive & equitable governance and addressing vulnerabilities from risks and disasters.
