Dhar-District Agricultural Plan |
Prepared comprehensive District Agriculture Plan of Dhar, reflecting the priorities of the local needs, crops, feed and fodder, animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries.
The Government of India, as part of its strategy to strengthen agriculture sector has formulated a programme called Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY). As part of this, a Comprehensive District Agriculture Plan (C-DAP) has to be prepared for each district in the country. Manage partnered with ALC India for the C-DAP of Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.
The objective of the C-DAP was to rejuvenate agriculture during next FYP; the National Development Council (NDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to achieve a growth rate of 4% per annum. As agriculture growth is essential to make growth more inclusive, the NDC in its resolution advised State Governments to prepare a Comprehensive District Agriculture Plan (C-DAP) that fully utilised available resources and included allied agriculture sectors.
The C-DAP was done by assessing and planning for the infrastructure required to support the agriculture development and by establishing linkages with the required institutional support services, like credit, technology transfer, ICT, research and more. The action plan evolved focused on achieving sustainable agricultural growth with food security and facilitating a cropping system to improve farmers’ income.
