Institutional Framework |
RRA Network engaged with ALC India to evaluate the linkages of the institution with the market. ALC India was involved in the institution strengthening process, on the basis of gaps identified in value linkage.
The Revitalizing Rainfed Agriculture Network (RRA Network) is a growing network of over 60 civil society organizations, research institutions, policy makers, donor agencies and individuals advocating for a differentiated agricultural policy and support system for rainfed areas in India.
RRA has partnered with ALC India to complete their goal under the comprehensive pilots in different locations in the country. The objective is to evolve the institutional framework or models which will sustainably deliver services access to rainfed farmers.
ALC India has been involved in the institution strengthening process. The project required ALC India to identify the loopholes in the value linkages of institutions working in the rainfed areas and to develop strategies to enable linkages with service providers of the market (including banks), departments of government (both state and central) and other civil society organizations, so that services and sanctioned benefits get delivered to small, marginal and tenant farmers in rainfed areas.
