Social Regulations for Groundwater Management |
Impact assessment and evaluation of the CWS project “Drought Preparedness through Social Regulations in Water Management”, implemented with 8 NGO partners.
The project “Drought Preparedness through Social Regulations in Water Management” was implemented in five districts of Andhra Pradesh that receive low rainfall (550mm-650mm). Centre for World Solitary partnered eight organizations to implement the project.
The objective of the project was to evolve models to equip communities with drought mitigation preparedness strategies (through better water management and regulations at community level); and to support CBOs and PRIs in prioritising the needs of community for drinking water, irrigation and other uses, based on principles of equity.
CWS partnered with Access Livelihoods Consulting (ALC) India Ltd. to analyse the impact of the project at grassroots level in the respective districts. ALC India assessed the impact of the project as per the objective and expected deliverable of the project.
